At different times of the year, but mainly in summer, the town comes to life with voices, colours, music and parties: concerts, theatrical shows, sport events, culture and folklore and the fish festival, and typical ingredients of local traditional cuisine. Religious traditions, however, talk about the sea; solemn processions in boats accompany religious rituals.

Ferragosto Buggerraio (feast of Assumption), August. Includes a number of events with cultural, sport and folklore activities. In summer people dance in the town’smain squares every night.
Sagra del Pesce (fish festival), during the tourist season. It’s possible to taste delicious local fish dishes.
