The premises of the ex Montegranatico, a historic building at Villacidro dating back to the second half of the XVIII century, hosts the Civil Archaeological Museum “Villa Leni” since 2003.
This exhibition brings together many original finds that testify the habitual human visiting in the territory of Villacidro and neighboring towns: from pre-historic pottery of the Ozieri culture, to nuraghe and bronze objects originating from storage rooms from the nuragic era.
Many finds from the territory of Villacidro date back to the vast period of time between the recent Neolithic (3500-2700 B.C.) and the period of Phoenician-Punic domination (IX-III centuries. B.C.) and the successive Roman era.
