The imposing structure, which since years after the second world war was a modern mill, conserved its elegance and its spaciousness: from a big portal one enters in a cobbled paving court yard where a beautiful verandah shows the structure that, articulated in three levels, it is completely planked with sturdy boards and covered by wooden-beam ceilings, the three levels are reciprocally linked by a sturdy wooden stair.
The building, with elegant ornaments outside, lodges the “Museo di Paese d’ombre” (Museum of “Shadow Country”) which, using scenography and modern techniques of staging, proposes to visitor a trip through suggestions evocated by readings of Giuseppe Dessì works and, in particular, the reading of the novel winner of Premio Strega in 1972, Paese d’ombre.
Along the itinerary, characters, places, objects, settings drive the visitor-reader to the discovery of a literary and human world rich in deep feelings.
