The typology of the building resembles “le case campidanesi” (one level country houses) built using unbaked bricks, covered in tiles, with a large courtyard, portico and a large portal. For a while it accommodated a Blacksmith’s workplace, whose tools and utensils are still conserved in loco.
The Blacksmith’s work place became part of the set up of the "Museo dell'arte fabbrile e del coltello" (Museum of Blacksmith art and knives) which was hosted by the old structure with the aim of emphasizing the art of iron work and blades widely diffused through out the territory.
