Construction, planned in 1862, was finalised in 1865. The present day building is the fruit of perpetual restorations and extensions that have eliminated the facade’s cornices. Inside, the conference hall is to be admired, built in 1910, for its workmanship furniture and ceiling frescoes, work of Cagliari painters, re-evoking the moment of the signing of the foundry act of Fluminimaggiore, 22 April 1704. The two chandeliers are to be admired, they illuminated the conference hall and Mayor’s office with the use of electricity, an outstanding fact for Sardinia in that period.
