The Palaeontology Museum was set up in 1982 by the “ Gruppo Grotte Fluminese” (Flumini Cave Group). It mostly gathers together marine animal fossils belonging to the Palaeozoic era, Cambrian and Devonian. Amongst the most interesting fossils one can admire trilobite, cephalopod, branchiopod and gastropod.
The Archaeocyaths are also of great scientific importance, they are the most ancient animal fossils that exist in Europe. A pretend aquarium reconstructs the Palaeozoic environment of some million and a half years ago.
The entire territory is very rich in fossil like seams of great scientific importance.
