The soft white stretch of beach that reaches as far a the base of the Capo Pecora promontory departing from San Nicolò. It spreads out for around two kilometers, interrupted solely by the Mannu River that snakes along the sandy shore in an attempt to reach the sea.
At the front of the beach the sand dune range of San Nicolò-Portixeddu spreads out, extending inland for a distance of around 3 Km, as far as the Piscina Morta zone, a small natural lake of Aeolic origin.
The sand dune range is completely covered by a thick green blanket, remarkable reforestation where Aleppo pine prevail and where Pinus Pinea spreads out in a autochthonous manner, whose endemism, together with that of the Quercus Collifera determine the biotype of Su Landiri Mannu, name of the place where they spontaneously reproduce as trees rather than bushes like everywhere else.
