South east of Buggerru’s small harbour stands a mighty concentric limestone ram port that falls to the sea with a series of imposing cliffs tens of meters high (up to around 80 meters in height) in which numerous caves open.
The coast remains high as far as Cala Domestica, one of the most beautiful coves in the landscape that can be admired in the territory, which can be reached by crossing impressive and pure white sand dunes.
The bay is surmounted by a tower that was designed in the second half of the 500s and was probably built at the end of the 600s, under the reign of Filippo II King of Spain.
The cylindrical structure is 12 meters high, inside there is a stair case that leads to a sighting terrace where shelves hold defence equipment.
